The problem

Mobile shopping involves a sequence of connected tasks: finding a product, browsing its store, accessing an account, adding items to a basket, and completing an order. Each step needs to make sense within the limited space of a phone screen. The challenge is to keep this journey clear while giving shoppers enough information to decide what they want and understand what happens next. The app also needs to connect authentication, product browsing, cart management, and checkout without making users relearn the interface at each stage. Salaty explores how these parts can work together in a consistent mobile experience, with a clear structure for navigating stores, reviewing selected items, and moving toward an order.

The solution

Salaty organizes mobile shopping around a connected journey from discovery to checkout. Built with Expo and React Native, the app brings together home-screen browsing, store and product screens, account access, and basket management. Shoppers can move from exploring products to reviewing their selections within the same mobile interface, with each screen focused on the information needed for that stage of the journey. Authentication, checkout, and account screens complete the experience, using a consistent layout across the main shopping steps. Product and store browsing provide the starting point, while the basket brings selected items together before checkout. The project demonstrates how these parts of an e-commerce app can fit into a coherent mobile flow, rather than a set of unrelated screens.
